BIREME Accounts is the authentication and user management system of the FI-Admin platform.

The LILACS or VHL coordinator is responsible for creating the user account and defining which information sources and access permissions the user will have. The higher the access permission, the greater the responsibility the user has when creating and editing records.

Important: Before contributing to a database managed in FI-Admin, contact the coordinator of that database to establish the terms of cooperation and learn about the document selection criteria.

When a coordinator creates a new user in the system, the user receives an automatic email from BIREME/PAHO/WHO requesting the creation of an access password:

• Subject: “[BIREME] Reset your password”
• The activation link is valid for only 24 hours
• Important: Neither the database coordinator nor BIREME has access to your password. If you forget your password, use the “Forgot my password” option to reset it.

Access to BIREME Accounts is only required to update your email or password. Otherwise, you will only need to access the FI-Admin system to start contributing to LILACS or other VHL bibliographic databases.
