7.3 Full Text Tab

This tab includes data fields with information on how to access the full text of documents.

It is recommended that every document registered in LILACS or in the BVS database provide access to the full text, either via link or by uploading to the system. In the case of journal articles, this is a mandatory field.

Include the link to the full text from the primary source, that is, the link to the article published on the journal’s own website or the document in the institutional repository responsible for its production.

Important: If the indexer is not from the institution that produced the document, pay attention to curation and verification to avoid misleading content or conflicts of interest, such as predatory or hijacked journals, or documents from publishers with predatory practices.

Important: Always be attentive to content protected by intellectual property and copyright.

  • Full texts under copyright protection must not be uploaded to the system.
  • Documents requiring payment to access the content must not be registered.

Responsibility for uploading documents that are not open access lies with the indexer and the institution to which the indexer is affiliated.
