LILACS Methodology Field:
- Field 775 Record Status
- Present in both source record and analytic record forms
Guidelines:
Defines the record’s compliance status with the LILACS Methodology, the completeness and quality of the bibliographic record, the processing status in the workflow, and determines its publication in the search interface.
Every record created or updated in the FI-Admin system must be published immediately upon completion of the activity to increase the exposure time and visibility of the document in LILACS and BVS.
-
Keep the status as “Draft” only if still being edited.
-
Once finalized, it is recommended to change the status to “Published.”
-
Every record with status “LILACS-Express” must be fully reviewed, including all cataloging and indexing fields, since interoperability processes have lower data completion and quality, and users with the LILACS-Express Editor profile have access to fewer data fields than an indexer.
-
Records with status “Migrated” may have their status changed to “Published” if reviewed.
-
Records that have undergone quality control but no longer meet the LILACS methodology quality criteria must have their status changed to “Deleted.” Records that never met the criteria must have their status changed to “Rejected.”
It is recommended that the review and validation process carried out by coordinators and those responsible for quality curation of records be done once the record is already published.
