Guidelines:

Descriptors from a controlled vocabulary defined by the institution, not contained in DeCS/MeSH.

Include local descriptors if the network you contribute to uses another glossary or controlled vocabulary in addition to DeCS.

Example:

• MS Thesaurus

• SUS Taxonomy and others

• Psychology Terminology

This field is used by specific networks (such as BVS Psychology or SUS) to add their own vocabularies.

Example: inclusion of terms from the Psychology Terminology or the SUS Taxonomy.

⚠️ If this field already contains information, keep it and add only what is necessary.

The “Local Descriptors” field is used by the database coordination to include descriptors adopted by the network or institution.
